The Sabres wrap up a three-game home stand with a 7 p.m. faceoff against the Winnipeg Jets. YNN's Don Heins was with the Sabres for their morning skate and has a look at some key issues entering the game.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — As the Sabres get set to faceoff against the Jets, the question remains how the Sabres will respond to the tough loss against the Penguins, and to the post game comments made by Ryan Miller that questioned the team's experience and confidence.

Right now, the Sabres are 6-9-1. They're four points out of playoff position in a year where deficits are certain to be magnified. To get back in the race, the Sabres are needing a strong winning streak, and many fans are hoping that Miller's energy can help spark a push.

"I think the conversation was great really. I think when you start holding each other accountable in the room, you've almost got your team in the right place," said head coach Lindy Ruff. "A room without confrontation, and a room without holding each other accountable; you've got a lot of places to hide."

"He gave us a chance to win and we weren't there for him. In my opinion, he's been great all year. It just comes down to us maybe getting in that lane and blocking it for him. He played really well in that game, maybe well enough for us to win and we didn't get it for him. Hopefully tonight, we can get one for him," said Tyler Ennis.

There's little doubt that the Sabres biggest concerns have come in the form of defensive play. There's been a rotation of players unable to stay in the lineup, and now Jordan Leopold, the veteran, is the latest one. He's been benched tonight in favor of TJ Brennan.

The Sabres and Jets faceoff at 7 p.m. Tuesday at First Niagara Center.
