Bills return from bye week with spirited practice

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Back at it in the Field House, the Buffalo Bills are preparing for the Redskins at the Rodgers Center Sunday.

Off to a 4-2 start, the Bills stumbled right before their bye week with a road loss against the New York Giants.

The guys returned from their break on Monday afternoon in the right frame of mind.

“We jumped around out there pretty good today. I thought the effort was great, and I told them at the end of practice, if we keep practicing like that, we'll have a chance to win a bunch of football games,” said head coach Chan Gailey.

“It's something that you miss. We're all football players, so when you get that week off, you feel like you're missing something while you're on that week off. Then you get back, everyone's enthused to be back, so it was a good feeling to be back on the field,” said wide receiver Steve Johnson.

Chris Kelsay was back on the field for the Bills Monday. He took part in all drills, but Chan Gailey limited his reps for conditioning reasons. Kyle Williams and Shawne Merriman were both held out of practice again.

Meanwhile, on the offensive line, Andy Levitre is taking snaps at left tackle. He's likely to start there with Demetrius Bell's status uncertain. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
