Monroe County Sheriff's Office Welcomes New Recruits

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office has a new class of deputy recruits.

Class #56 has 22 people in all: three women and 19 men. They were sworn in Monday by Sheriff Patrick O'Flynn.

The recruits will go through six months at the police academy, including field training, before taking up their new titles as deputies.
