Local Tavern Holds West Webster Benefit

  • Text size: + -

A local tavern held a benefit for the West Webster firefighters Sunday. Flaherty's Tavern and Grill held a raffle, sold apparel and donated 20 percent of customers' tabs.

The money will go to the families who lost their homes on Lake road and the West Webster fire department. Customers could also sponsor a table for $25 to have their names placed on the table showing their support.

Kurt Johnson, the event organizer, says it's important to give back to those who are here to help.

"We have a lot of our customers here are the firefighters from West Webster and we kind of felt the need to do it for them. It's a good cause. It's the West Webster Fire Department. They're gonna be here to protect us."

Flaherty's hoped to raise $10,000. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
