The family of a missing Chili man is paying for a Monroe County Sheriff's investigator to travel to a national Conference on Missing and Exploited Children.

The family of Brian Sullivan presented the Monroe County Sheriff's Department with a check for $1,600 on Monday. The money will pay for investigator Jeffrey Branagan to attend the Responding to Missing and Unidentified Persons National Training Conference in Appleton, Wisconsin. The event is later this month.

The money was raised through a motorcycle ride, garage sales and bottle returns.

"As a police officer on the road, you know, we go into calls day in and day out to people's homes and you're dealing and trying to help people through a very tough time in their life," Branagan said. "And if anything that I can learn from this can aid in that I certainly embrace any training I could get."

Brian Sullivan was last seen on July 8, 2007 at the Burger King Restaurant on Chili Avenue near Route 390. Anyone with information regarding his disappearance is asked to call 911. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
