The Pittsford High School Hockey team played its fourth annual "Pink the Rink" games to benefit cancer on Saturday.

The Pittsford Panthers hosted the Webster Thomas Titans in support of the fight against breast cancer. A J.V. game was followed by a varsity game to raise money for the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester.

Profits from t-shirts sales, a chuck-a-puck contest and $2 from each admission was donated.

The teams wore pink jerseys and socks with patches on the back that held a special meaning.

"The players jerseys have patches on them. Those jerseys have been sponsored by families in memory of a loved one, or in honor of a survivor," said Celeste Frohm, Pink the Rink Chairperson. "We leave those patches on year to year and accumulate them onto the jerseys, so its very special."

Last year the event was able to donate $6 thousand to the Breast Cancer Coalition.
