A Wayne County man is accused of stealing a car from a woman in a Pizza Hut parking lot.
Police in Newark say 31-year-old Seth Brown allegedly tried to force a woman in the Pizza Hut parking lot to drive him to Fairport.
The woman refused, and Brown tried to drag her into the car, but she fought back. Police say Brown took her keys and drove away with her car.
Police found the car stuck along the road in Ontario County a short time later.
Brown then allegedly hitchhiked and ordered a driver that picked him up to take him to an ATM for money.
Police then pulled the car over near Palmyra and took Brown into custody.
Brown is charged with robbery and grand larceny and was sent to the Wayne County Jail on $75,000 cash bail or $150,000 bond. Additional charges are pending.
The woman involved suffered bruises, but was not seriously injured.
