Ten-Year-Old Starts Challenge for Abused Animals

  • Text size: + -

A local ten-year-old is taking a stand against animal abuse by starting a challenge.

Alexandra Neu is starting the first annual Pawsome Winter Challenge to raise awareness about animals living without basic needs. The Pawsome Winter Challenge will put people in the position of abandoned animals by spending a January night outside without food, water or shelter.

Alexandra says the challenge will hopefully show people what it's like to be left outdoors.

Alexandra explained, "We're going to be outside in the cold and we're going to be outside in camp eastman and it's going to be cold and we're going to just have, not for us but to make sure people don't keep their dogs outside."

The event is January 25th from 7 to 11 pm. All proceeds will go to PAWS and organizations providing animal welfare services.
