A well-known comedian of the big and small screen will come to Rochester in August for a one night only show to help honor a Greece mother who lost her battle with cancer.
Rob Schneider will perform at a benefit August 7th at Nazareth College. The proceeds go to the Renee Julian Cattron Memorial Fund.
Renee Cattron, 42, died a year ago. The fund benefits her two kids. The former Rochester city school teacher and news reporter had non-smoker's lung cancer. Cattron worked to educate people on the disease through a Caring Bridge website .
Benefit organizers say Schneider is a friend of the family. The event is August 7th at the Nazareth Arts Center's Callahan Theatre.
Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $30 and are on sale at area Wegmans.
